On the afternoon of March 11, Zhejiang Airport Group and Tianyuan Defense Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd. held a discussion in Hangzhou on developing an intelligent airspace protection system and an integrated bird and drone detection and management optimization service plan for airports. The General Manager of Hangzhou Tianyuan Defense, together with the core technical team, paid a visit to Zhejiang Airport Group.
The relevant leadership team of the Provincial Airport Group extended a warm reception, and relevant leaders from sub-districts and communities also attended the meeting.
During the discussion, in accordance with the provincial Party committee and government’s strategic plan of “building a strong civil aviation province at a high level and fostering a highland for low-altitude economic development”, the two sides exchanged views on formulating an intelligent airport airspace protection system and an integrated solution for bird and drone detection and control. The cooperation aims to improve bird detection and dispersal systems, as well as drone detection, tracking and countermeasure deployment in airport zones. Focusing on new quality productive forces in the low-altitude economy, both sides will jointly contribute to building Zhejiang into a strong civil aviation province.
It is understood that Zhejiang Airport Group is the main force and key platform for building a strong civil aviation province. As a provincial-level platform, it is responsible for investment, financing and construction of civil aviation infrastructure, airport operation and management, and aviation industry development. Developing the low-altitude economy and airport zone low-altitude defense constitutes an important strategic task for the Group.
Since the beginning of this year, the airports under the Group have achieved remarkable air traffic growth. Three airports in the province have entered the ranks of 100-billion-yuan level airports. Among them, Xiaoshan Airport handles more than 1,000 takeoffs and landings daily, ranking fourth in China. The international and regional passenger flow of airports across the province has increased by 30% year-on-year, with an international cargo and mail ratio of 32%.
Boasting a favorable investment and financing environment featuring high-quality services, low costs and high efficiency, as well as sound conditions for aviation and low-altitude economic development, Zhejiang sincerely welcomes Tianyuan Defense to settle in the province. It is hoped that all-round cooperation between the two sides will help expand and strengthen the aviation and low-altitude industry.
